My Weight Loss Story

College Days Transformation
“Even as a child, I had to deal with weight problems. I was bullied for being fat by my friends and even family, so growing up I had low self-esteem due to my appearance. By the time I was in college , I was already 89 kgs. The reason for this I understood later was no physical activity and negligence towards eating habits.
“While doing my Master’s in Nutrition, I understood how to reduce weight, the healthy way. I started working on myself and paying attention on food habits – I lost 26 kgs. I also found out that the additional cause of my weight problems was Thyroid related, I had to start medicating to control my Thyroid.
I maintained my weight for the next 7 years, and weight gain happened again – this time for a beautiful reason though. During the 9 months of my pregnancy, I put on 17 kgs. Once Aarav was born, I immediately set a weight goal for myself again, and in about a year lost the excess pregnancy weight. This was not easy as I was taking care of my baby, my house and working at the same time. But I saw that I achieved the weight target I had set for myself. Taking care of one’s health is the most important thing, only then shall you be able to really enjoy other things in life.”
